About Deep C

The name Deep ‘C’ began as a play on words and could mean or stand for anything you would like it to.   I have come to see it as deep core, deep center, or deep consciousness, which is where I believe we should live from..the (deep) core of who we are, not the (shallow) outward appearance of who we (or others) think we are.

The birth of Deep C Holistic Wellness came from a desire to provide a means of healing for people which involved more than just the normal realm of diet and physical exercise.    I formulated a vision of creating a resource for people to access their inner power to heal themselves. Deep C Wellness is the first manifestation of that vision.   I hope to one day open a ‘Holistic Wellness Center’, a central location where people can go to nourish all parts of the ‘Self’ that will offer massage, yoga, workshops, meditation, counseling, a bookstore, organic products, etc.   Until then, this is that resource.

About Marc ‘DaSharc’ Douglas

Who is Marc ‘DaSharc’? Well…I grew up in south Florida and now reside in Atlanta, GA.   I was a communications major in college (where radio DJ nickname Marc ‘Da Sharc’ was born) and am an now an ordained ULC minister.   In addition, I have taken many classes and workshops on everything from conscious relating to improv comedy,  providing a basis for me to be informative AND entertaining!   I have developed a ‘wit with wisdom’ approach which has allowed me to gain and share much experience and perspective using humor.

I recently devoted my life to sharing the wisdom, insight and perspective I have gained with the world in order to help people feel more empowered to live fully in who they are as human beings. Through my studies, leadership roles in corporate environments, and individual endeavors,  I have developed a wide range of skill sets, but I believe my healing spirit and ability to touch the lives of people around me in profound and inspiring ways is truly one of my greatest gifts.

Listed here are my Core values & Beliefs, or CVBs* These CVBs are the guiding principles for how I live my life…both personally & professionally. Please feel free to adopt them should you desire a more meaningful & fulfilling life…

  • I respect the individual, and believe that individuals who are treated with respect respond by giving their best.
  • I require complete honesty and integrity in everything I do.
  • I make commitments with care, and then live up to them. In all things, I do what I say I am going to do.
  • Work is an important part of life, and it should be fun. Being a good businessperson does not mean being stuffy and boring.
  • I am frugal. I guard and conserve all my resources with vigilance.
  • I insist on giving my best effort in everything I undertake. Furthermore, I see a huge difference between “good mistakes” (best effort, bad result) and “bad mistakes” (sloppiness or lack of effort).
  • Clarity in understanding missions, goals, and expectations is critical to success.
  • I believe in the Golden Rule. In all my dealings I will strive to be friendly and courteous, as well as fair and compassionate.

Should I ever not live up to these CVBs, please feel free to call me on it.

Letter to Myself:

Below is a letter written to me, by me.   I am moved & humbled by the fact that someone loves me enough to say such beautiful things.   It speaks to exactly the kind of person I strive to be, and I can’t think of a better way to repay such love than to exemplify the person described in this letter.   If you haven’t already, I invite you to write yourself such a letter…and then be the person you describe in your letter.

Dear DaSharc,

I’m so glad you are who you are. You are kind, funny, compassionate, understanding, and a joy to be around. I appreciate the way you step into people’s lives with an uplifting spirit, giving of yourself by sharing the wisdom, insight, and perspective you have gained in life.

You always seem to know just the right things to say in any situation and are willing to give whatever is needed of yourself to make people feel happy, comfortable, and empowered. You give advice freely and without being judgmental. Everything you do is for the purpose of enriching the lives of those around you and you always focus on the greater good, never seeking personal gain.

You are gracious, humble, authentic, and always carry yourself with honor and dignity. You strive for integrity and harmony in everything you undertake. Your healing spirit has touched the lives of so many people and I am very proud to be one of them. I love you with every ounce of my being. Thank you for everything you bring to this world.

Love, DaSharc
